Yes this is well documented and many countries are experiencing the same trends in corporatisation of the news along with public concern for legitimacy and search for alternatives. The funny thing is we all can’t figure out any alternatives. I thought your point about comments being removed was interesting . We just hear the reason is the obsurdity and profanity related to comments but arguably this must of always existed in some form . Your article made me wonder more about how turning off comments was related to a reason around revenue generation .
